Frequently asked questions.
How we work, what you get and what we need from you - answered before you have to ask. If your question is not here, send it over and we will tell you straight whether it is something we handle.
The questions that come up before any board is routed
Short answers, written so you can tell early whether this is a fit — including the parts that are harder to sell.
We deliver native source files in Altium Designer, KiCad, EasyEDA or Cadence Allegro, depending on the standard your team already uses.
We provide the design engineering. You receive the exact package needed to upload to JLCPCB, PCBWay or your local fabricator for manufacture and assembly.
Yes. Layout audits are a core service. We check trace clearances, power planes and antenna keep-outs to identify why a prototype is failing in test.
Complete design source files, production files (Gerber, NC Drill and Pick & Place), a detailed BOM with sourcing links, and 3D STEP models of the finished board for mechanical fit.
It depends on layer count, interface count and how complete your schematic is. A simple single-board prototype is typically delivered in days; high-speed multi-layer work is quoted by milestone. Send us your constraints and we will give you a timeline and budget estimate.
Yes. We work globally and in English. Roughly half our work comes through Upwork and Fiverr, with direct engineering teams commissioning projects remotely.
Layer count, interface count, board outline and how complete your schematic is drive the number. We review the constraints first, then quote against a defined scope so you can see what the figure covers. A short consultation can be booked separately and is credited against the first milestone.
We work in stages and review each stage with you, so feedback inside a stage is part of that stage rather than a separate charge. If a request changes the agreed scope after a stage is signed off, we say so and agree the change before any of the work is done.
Often, yes. Send the source files and a short note on what is failing or what is blocking you, and we will tell you whether it is worth continuing or restarting. If you only want findings first, we can run the audit and report without changing anything.
We design to the stack-up and capabilities of the fabricator you intend to use. Figures like 40 ohms differential, +/-25 mil clearances or 100 ohm series termination are common industry references rather than promises, so always confirm the final values against your fabricator's current capability chart and your assembly constraints.
Numeric design values quoted anywhere on this site are industry references, not guarantees of output. Confirm them against your fabricator's current capability data.
Still have questions?
Send us the schematic, the layer count and the interfaces the board has to carry. We will come back with an architecture view, a scope and a number to work against.
