Motor Trip Email Alert System
Industrial monitoring: emails the moment a motor trips or resets.
The brief
A motor trips for reasons that end the same way — the supply cuts out — but start somewhere else: an overload, a stalled rotor, a phase loss. If the trip only ever looks like ‘power off’, the cause is gone by the time anyone looks.
This board watches the motor’s behaviour closely enough to tell those causes apart, and gets the report out while the equipment is still there to be inspected.
What we did
A protection and reporting board for a motor installation. It watches the motor’s supply and behaviour, decides whether an event is a genuine trip rather than a plain power cut, and reports it by email so the cause can be read while the equipment is still on site.
